    pastedGraphic

Jamie, the bearded collie, is besotted by a beautiful white poodle called Fifi, and when she sails away to France he is heartbroken. But not for long. A very pretty collie catches his eye, and Jamie is his happy-go-lucky, irrepressible self once again. Here are four new Jamie Tales, written in rhyme, and as usual Jamie is spilling over with energy and fun. About Marian Bythell

"I have loved writing as long as I can remember and have had success in its various forms: letters to magazines and newspapers such as The Times, People's Friend, Woman's Weekly, Evergreen etc (and often received money prizes). I also have had success with short stories, articles (particularly in This England magazine and Best of British) poetry and books, my latest being a children's illustrated poetry book for junior school age children. I am influenced by great writers such as Thomas Hardy, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, John Betjeman and A. A. Milne and am inspired by God, people and places. I'm a member of the Association of Christian Writers and besides writing, love walking, sight seeing, baking, gardening and knitting - hobbies where I can use my creative skills. I hope you enjoy reading my work as much as I enjoy writing it" - Marian.
